MountainOne Announces Third Quarter Community Giving

MountainOne is proud to announce that, in the third quarter of 2024, it contributed over $300,000 to local organizations across the Berkshires and the South Shore. This significant commitment underscores MountainOne’s ongoing dedication to giving back to the community. These donations reflect a shared belief that by investing in individuals and organizations that drive positive change, the company can help foster stronger, more vibrant communities for all.

Supporting North Adams
MountainOne’s most significant commitments this quarter are two multi-year pledges to longstanding institutions in North Adams. Over the next five years, the company will invest $500,000 in the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) and $350,000 in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). These contributions serve as vital drivers of economic and cultural growth in Northern Berkshire County and beyond, and MountainOne looks forward to seeing the positive impact of its investments in the years ahead.

“Our hometown of North Adams holds a special place in our mission to foster growth and opportunity,” said Robert Fraser, President and CEO. “Our investments in MCLA and MASS MoCA reflect our deep-rooted commitment to supporting institutions that drive cultural and economic vitality of this community. We are excited to witness the lasting impact these partnerships will bring to North Adams and the wider region.”

New and Ongoing Partnerships
This quarter also marked the formation of exciting new partnerships for MountainOne. Most notably, the company is proud to support the Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative’s “Your Voice Through Video” program, which empowers local students to create documentary-style films based on topics they learn in the classroom. Additionally, MountainOne contributed to the construction of a new snack shack for Rockland Little League, which is being built at their field on Spring Street in Rockland.

Simultaneously, MountainOne continued its longstanding support for several key partners. The company’s ongoing contributions to Quincy Public Schools have helped fund vital programs aimed at enhancing academic, social, and vocational success for students. MountainOne also renewed its support for the Hoosic River Watershed Association in Williamstown, backing their important water quality monitoring efforts that benefit communities throughout Berkshire County. Furthermore, the company proudly supported Northern Berkshire Veterans, providing essential resources to those who have served our country.

Standing with Community Events
MountainOne is committed to supporting events that bring communities together. This quarter, MountainOne served as the underwriting sponsor of the Williamstown Community Chest Fun Run on September 28th and was the Premier Leaf Sponsor of the Fall Foliage Parade in the Berkshires on October 6th. MountainOne also supported the Elizabeth Freeman Center’s Rise Together for Safety and Justice marches throughout September, 1Berkshire’s Celebrate the Berkshires event, Scituate Heritage Days, and the Rockland Fall Festival.

Addressing Hunger Relief
Of great concern is the rise in requests for hunger relief funding. In response, MountainOne has stepped up to help meet these critical needs. The company proudly supported Scituate Community Christmas, which provides emergency assistance to individuals and families throughout the year. Additionally, MountainOne contributed to Interfaith Social Services and their Feed the Hungry Gala, which supports a wide range of programs to alleviate hunger and prevent homelessness. MountainOne also partnered with Outreach, Inc.’s End Hunger New England program to address food insecurity in the South Shore region as well.

Closer to the Berkshires, MountainOne supported Thanksgiving Angels, a collaboration of local food pantries and faith-based organizations that ensures families in the community have enough to eat during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Looking Ahead
The company remains deeply committed to supporting organizations that uplift communities, recognizing that every contribution helps build a better future.
