Monday, June 23, 2014

North Adams, MA – Kathryn Dubendorf Genova, Commercial Loan Officer, MountainOne Bank, recently graduated from the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

“Receiving my Masters in Banking from Stonier has been a tremendous experience.  The school offers an unparalleled education from some of the best in the financial services industry.  Additionally, I’ve developed a robust network of industry peers from across the country and have been provided with a learning experience that I ‘m confident will serve Berkshire County and MountainOne well,” said Dubendorf Genova.

Stonier is ABA’s national graduate school of banking, an intensive three-year program for bank executives. Students are from the United States and international banks of all sizes, as well as state and federal regulatory agencies and other financial services organizations. This is the school’s 79th year, and it was held June 5 – 12, 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania.

“Dubendorf Genova is a key member of the MountainOne Bank commercial lending team and her education at Stonier provides MountainOne and Berkshire County with a solid banker that utilizes her skill sets to deliver solutions that benefit the bank and business community,” said Robert Fraser.

Since its inception in 1935, more than 20,000 students have followed a curriculum of more than 45 courses and enjoyed networking opportunities with more than 600 fellow students. Between sessions, students keep up with trends by completing additional extension and online coursework. The program culminates with the Capstone Strategic Project, where students develop comprehensive business projects for their financial institutions.

As Commercial Loan Officer, Dubendorf Genova is responsible for developing new business relationships and enhancing existing relationships. She handles every step of the business lending process, including analysis, underwriting, and approval. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Connecticut College, and will complete the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2014. In the community, Dubendorf Genova is a graduate of the Berkshire Leadership Program; she is a former board member for the Berkshire Chamber Youth Leadership Program and was an assistant coach for youth ice hockey. She lives in Williamstown with her husband, Matt, and their daughter.
