Bell, Commercial Lending Portfolio Manager, MountainOne Bank, were among the class of 2023 graduates recognized at the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking graduation ceremony, which took place at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania campus.
According to a recent American Banking Association (ABA) e-newsletter, the 229 professionals at the June 2023 graduation ceremony were awarded both Stonier diplomas and Wharton leadership certificates. The keynote speaker, ABA Chairman Dan Robb, shared his personal experiences as a community banker to help cultivate the next generation of bank leaders. Robb also encouraged bankers to advocate on the “policy issues facing the industry,” and, “to be the voice for our clients, and our communities.”
As background, the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking was founded in 1935 by Dr. Harold Stonier, and is viewed as “the industry’s preeminent graduate banking program.” The comprehensive curriculum includes strategic planning, leadership, economics, financial management, socially responsible banking, business analytics and interpersonal communication.
